Biometric Readers are the way forward if you want to overcome the security issues that most users have with traditional Card & Fob Access Control Systems, however until now cost has been the most common stumbling block, let alone the speed and reliability of nearly all of the Biometric Readers and Systems available on the market. The ievo Biometric Reader AlertSystems installed and tested on its own building changes that! It offers a quick and very simple to install option and it works!
Using Wiegand inputs and original manufacturer’s equipment (OEM) Controllers it seamlessly fits onto existing Door Access systems by replacing the existing Door Entry Systems Proximity fob/card or Keypad Readers with a unique Fingerprint Reader that has many benefits over and above its competition.
The ievo Biometric Reader uses what is called “multi spectral imaging” combined with their award winning algorithm. It has been proven that it will work in many harsh environments and with fingers that are dry, wet or dirty across all ages even the very elderly. In fact it will work through some latex gloves!
The quality of the product is there for all to see, very minimalist in design and extremely quick to use, allowing an increase of footfall, essential for all Access Control Systems. The ievo reader is Vandal resistant, IP rated to the industry standard 65 can be surface or flush mounted and is suitable for internal or external use (a built in heater enables the reader to operate at -20°C). This Fingerprint Reader holds no data, the printed circuit board (PCB) is housed internally which means all information is safely stored inside the building (up to 5 metres away) and not in the Biometric Reader so unlike many readers you cannot bypass security by simple removing it from the wall and shorting the relay!
